In-person socially distanced exam (45 minutes): Sunday, December 13 in the morning. Students will be assigned different time slots to ensure social distancing.
Optional Online exam (45 minutes): Sunday, December 13 at 10AM. There will be a fee of $90 for software download.
IMPORTANT: The WSET requires us to submit each student’s birthday to complete the registration for online classes. Please enter your birthday in the Special Instructions box when placing your order.
This Level 1 Award in Wines is a 4-week, 7 module online learning program with educator support available during the course. The course modules should be followed in order, but students are free to complete the modules at their own pace during this 4-week window. The course material should take about 6 hours in total to complete, plus revision time. Regular access and participation in the course online activities is essential for this mode of study.
The course prepares the student for WSET qualifications and they are guided by a WSET online educator. Students can contact the educator any time for the duration of the scheduled course, should they have any questions. Each module includes a series of independent activities to help students understand the differences between grape varieties and types and styles of wine.
Students are advised to taste a range of wines during their studies. (Please note: wines are not included in the course fee.) Upon registration, students will be advised of required and recommended wines to taste. Students can post their tasting notes in the Online Classroom for review by the educator.
Online study materials will be sent to the student’s email address between November 2 and November 8 by the WSET. Students will be automatically registered to take the in-person socially distanced exam on Sunday, December 13, 2020.

CANCELLATIONS: Because student information will be submitted to the WSET on Sunday, November 1, cancellations are only accepted for this class until October 31, and all bookings are final after that. There can be no refunds after the student’s registration is submitted to the WSET.
