ABOUT AVIGNONESI

Avignonesi, named after one of the founding family members, was established in 1974, and quickly became the benchmark of Montepulciano, putting the Vino Nobile region on the map once again. In 2009, Virginie Saverys bought the estate, and began a total re-invention. Her strong belief in organic products meant introducing sustainable farming methods by way of biodynamic viticulture, which has made Avignonesi today the largest biodynamic winery in Italy. Avignonesi produces authentic, unique wines that mirror the distinct identity of Montepulciano which are also healthier for customers, land and future generations. Avignonesi has also been certified as B Corporation and has voluntarily met the highest standards for social and environmental performance.
